What is BC Giving Day?

BC Giving Day will run from March 9-10 and is a campaign where we're challenging Boston College and Boston College Law School alumni, students, parents, friends, faculty, and staff to come together to give to the BC Law cause YOU are most passionate about. There will be opportunities to unlock challenge funds as we meet gift milestones. Check back on March 9 to see how you can increase the impact of your gift!

Do I have to wait to make a gift on March 9?

We’d love to count you in for BC Giving Day! Make your gift early at bc.edu/givingdaylaw and share with your network on March 9 to increase the impact of your support.

Can I send my gift in via the mail? 

BC Giving Day is a time limited giving campaign, we strongly encourage you to make your gift online at bc.edu/givingdaylaw. However, if your check is received by March 9 with "BC Giving Day" in the memo, it will also be counted as part of the overall challenge results. Let our team know at bcfund@bc.edu so we can count your support towards our goal.

Can I make a gift with stocks or securities for BC Giving Day?

Yes! Please call (617) 552-3440 or email uagifts@bc.edu to let our team know so we can count your gift, mention “BC Giving Day”.

Can I make a gift through a donor-advised fund? Yes, to make a distribution to BC through your donor-advised fund, please contact your financial institution and include “Giving Day” along with your gift designation. Let our team know at bcfund@bc.edu so we can count your support towards our goal.

Is there a gift minimum to count towards the BC Giving Day challenges?

No! Gifts of all sizes will count toward our goals for BC Giving Day. We’re aiming to get members of the BC community to participate with a gift, so we encourage you to share the challenge within your BC network. Some challenges count gifts made toward specific funds or other criteria. When you make your gift online you will be able to see what challenges your gift will count towards!

I already made a gift earlier this year. Will that count?

Thank you for supporting BC this year! For this challenge we are counting gifts specifically for BC Giving Day. If you would like to support the challenge we encourage you to make an additional token gift at bc.edu/givingdaylaw on March 9. 

I’ve already made my gift for BC Giving Day. How else can I help?

Thank you for your gift – you’re helping us get one step closer to unlocking critical funds for BC! We encourage you to share the challenge within your BC social networks. Sign up to share your custom link and measure your impact! Post on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram with #BCGivingDay for a chance to win BC swag.

Signing up on GiveCampus allows you to track the impact of your outreach! We encourage you to share messages to support BC Giving Day with your network of alumni, parents, friends, faculty, staff and students to participate with their gift on March 9!
