Gifts to Reverend James A. Woods, S.J., College of Advancing Studies contribute to...

Support the Dean's Innovation Fund at the Woods College of Advancing Studies.
The Woods College was established as the Evening College in 1929 with a mission of serving those residents of Boston who were academically capable but who did not have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional college experience. Today Woods offers nine undergraduate majors and 18 graduate degrees and certificates with classes on the Chestnut Hill campus and online. The Woods College serves a diverse student body with a wide range of interests and needs.
Philanthropic support is essential to the continued growth and success of the Woods College of Advancing Studies. Gifts to the Dean's Innovation Fund ensure that Dean Karen Muncaster has the resources to respond to pressing needs and the flexibility to be innovative and forward-thinking.
Did you know gifts to the Dean's Innovation Fund help provide:
- Textbooks and technologies—such as computers and mobile hotspots—for students facing hardship.
- Opportunities for students to attend and present at academic conferences.
- Mission-driven curriculum and community including service learning in the classroom and the Woods for Others organization.
- New degree and certificate programs, offered in formats that meet students' needs and prepare them for success.
- Contributions from highly successful practitioners who ensure that the curriculum is current, rigorous, and imbued with ethics and a vision for service.
The world needs BC to be the best university it can be, but what does BC need you to be? You can answer that question by making a gift of any size for BC Giving Day from Thursday, March 30 through Friday, March 31.
