Your gift to the Dean’s Innovation Fund strengthens the Carroll School’s:

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Faculty are the core of the Carroll School—as world-class scholars and teachers, they mentor students, drive innovation through their research, and move the School forward. The Dean’s Innovation Fund helps recruit and retain outstanding faculty by supporting high-impact research, including the purchase of high-quality datasets essential for producing publishable scholarship in top-tier journals. It also expands stipends for undergraduate Research and Teaching Assistants, now supporting more than 500 students each year. The result is a dual investment: strengthening Carroll’s academic reputation while mentoring the next generation of scholars.

STUDENT EXPERIENCE

The Dean’s Innovation Fund shapes a curriculum that prepares students for professional success and personal growth. Recent investments have expanded access to minors and interdisciplinary learning, strengthening the bridge between management and the liberal arts and fostering a dynamic exchange of perspectives—what Dean Boynton calls “intellectual whiplash”—enriching learning for both Carroll and Morrissey students. The Fund also advances career discernment and readiness through initiatives like a new first-year career exploration course and an online investment banking preparation course. Together, these efforts reflect the Dean’s vision of an education rooted in the liberal arts and centered on real-world readiness.

STUDENT SUCCESS

The Dean’s Innovation Fund supports student success by helping remove barriers for those with the highest financial need. Through initiatives such as the Carroll School Learning Community, the Fund provides targeted academic support, career development, and a strong sense of belonging for first-generation students and those from low-income backgrounds. These investments ensure that talented students can fully access and thrive within the Carroll School.
