Gifts to School of Social Work contribute to...

Housed within the School of Social Work, the Center for Social Innovation (CSI) aims to solve complex societal challenges by translating research into interventions and practice. Here are some important facts to know about the Center for Social Innovation:
- It’s mission-driven. From the classroom to the community, CSI is enabling students and faculty to use evidence-based social work practice to drive social change and promote the values at the heart of our discipline: equity, justice, and inclusion.
- It’s focused on impact, especially for the marginalized and poor throughout the world in the areas of environmental, mental, global, child, maternal, and family health.
- It’s global. CSI’s research and implementation of programs in South Asia, Africa, Central America, and the Middle East address complex social challenges; our partner agencies’ needs outpace the CSI’s bandwidth.
- It’s scalable and interdisciplinary. Gifts to the CSI catalyze its ability to size up its existing programs, launch new research and implementation programs, and incentivize continued collaborations across BC, including strengthening research opportunities for undergraduates.
From humble beginnings as a “streetcar college” to global University, philanthropy has helped pave the way. Join in celebrating Boston College's third Giving Day from Thursday, March 31 through Friday, April 1 with a gift of any size.
